S.M. Rae has had her share of hardship, but you won’t find this lioness licking her wounds.

A masterful storyteller, she brings a soulful depth to every narrative. Regardless of the medium—be it a novel, essay, or poem—she brings daring wit and perspective to her tales of magic, intrigue, and emotion. Her novels are poignant, timeless, and provocative, weaving page-turners that inspire her audience with grace and truth.

After working 20 years in community behavioral health, developing a school for neurodivergent students, and getting her master’s in counseling, Rae was diagnosed with autism herself. Empowered with this information, she remains a passionate advocate for the voices of those with neurodivergence, weaving these experiences into her stories and music.

No longer able to perform as a lounge singer, Rae has divided her work into two names: Simina Rae for the original music she has already released, and S.M. Rae for the fantasy novels and stories that keep her up at night.
